Storyline:
Souder, a homicide detective in a small Texan town, and his partner, transplanted New York City cop Detective Heigh, track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims' mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call 'The Killing Fields'. Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders. Despite his partner's warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When familiar local girl Anne goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl's life.

This crime film based on true events about a serial killer in Texas was a bit all over the place. It was hard to follow, and annoying to watch really. This movie would have been better suited as an hour long episode on Criminal Minds instead of this huge movie production. The story definitely wasn't worth it, and I think the people behind Criminal Minds would have done a better job with it.
This was the first time that I thought Sam Worthington was laying it on thick, which has me thinking the direction was to cause for this mess of a film. There was really nothing that I enjoyed about it, and I think the audience viewing it with me agreed. Its never a good sign when the credits start rolling and people start sucking their teeth because they wasted their money and time...this is that type of film. So in my opinion, pass on this one and try an episode of Criminal Minds instead...D Follow me @TajuanaG

Well, for a positive, the acting was good. And that's too bad because the story was meaningless. Especially for a true story, it came across like a really slow and boring Lifetime movie.I really wanted to like it but I just can't see why it was made. It moved so slow and was so unengaging that I almost walked out twice. It should've been an hour long tv movie. There's no reason for 2 hours of this
